About the Role
We are looking for an experienced QA Technologist, ideally with background in food production/manufacturing, to join our team on permanent basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct sampling of raw materials in low risk/ high care, finished product, shelf life samples, environmental swabs, listeria swabs, air plates and water samples as per defined frequency
- To accurately register all relevant samples on the lab system prior to the lab collection for the required tests
- Conduct hand swabbing to evaluate hygiene levels in production areas. Inform management/ take corrective actions as required
- Assess the quality of raw materials in order to define the accuracy of intake checks
- Verification of decontamination CCP’s to ensure critical limits are being met Verification of Metal detection start up checks and in production checks
- Creation of new product programmes in the metal detectors / calibration / adjustment of setting as required
- Verification of Line start-up checks and in production checks
- Organisation and management of retained samples within fridges
- Knowledge of SOPs, CCPs, procedures in place
- Verifying production paperwork on a random basis to ensure they are completed correctly
- To Conduct daily paperwork audits to ensure all due diligence parameters are met. To identify, report and establish corrective actions to all non-conformances
- To Conduct Factory GMP Audits, reporting findings and record in the GMP Tracker
- Daily factory walkaround to support production team to ensure products are manufactured in a smooth flow
- To observe and ensure good personal hygiene is maintained in the factory
- Conducting taste panel and reporting findings
- Filing and archiving of paperwork
- Product and Raw Material Traceability
- Environmental and equipment post hygiene sign off
What are we looking for?
- Tertiary qualification in food or food related subject such as chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology
- Graduate or first job after qualifying
- Experience of a high care, ready to eat environment, preferably with prepared fresh produce
- Good standard of spoken and written English
- Self organised approach and the ability to plan a workload
