It's always devastating to see damage or loss to growers crops but on the flipside, uplifting to see solutions to these challenges.
Our procurement team saw just that on a recent visit to Spain.
After 21 days of torrential rain and floods the damage to our growers watermelon crops was extensive, up to 50% loss.
It's not easy to circumnavigate such challenges but contingencies have been made and action already in place to ensure supply can be made to cover the gaps.
